Nordic Cross Country Skiing in Yorkshire near Leeds, Harrogate and York

Try our synthetic Nordic cross coutry skiing trail. The Christmas Adventure have created a ski trail for cross country skis around our woods. The ski trail is illuminated and runs through our Enchanted Woodland
It's huge in Europe, and now you can do it in the UK. From 23rd October, the UK's original Nordic Ski Trail re-opens for another winter season, set in the beautiful grounds of Stockeld Park, near Wetherby in Yorkshire.
The 1.2km trail, which winds through woodland and around a lake, is designed to give novices an introduction to the sport, using authentic Nordic ski equipment on the gently undulating trail. And because the track is artificial, there's no reliance on the white stuff!
What's more it's a great way to keep the pre-Christmas kilos at bay - Nordic skiing burns up more calories per hour than any other sport through low-risk, low-impact aerobic exercise. It's also an ideal cross-training sport for running or biking. And because it uses the body's natural movements, it has a very short learning curve. Nature's gym at her finest!
Whether you are an experienced skier or have never skied before, it's lots of fun and can be enjoyed by all ages. Plus, you can also take in the magical sights of the Enchanted Wood while you go.
The trail is part of 'The Christmas Adventure', where winter fun is at its nostalgic best. As well as the skiing, visitors can skate on a huge outdoor rink, stroll through an Enchanted Wood, get lost in a vast Snowflake Maze and enjoy refreshments in the Woodland Café.
