I came last November, we were a party of nine (4 children and 5 adults)and it was great,it really started christmas off for us,and was far better than i thought it was going to be. Santa was so good and was great with 4 kids all wanting to talk to him at the same time. We did everything and had so much fun, and i am hoping to come back this year. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

We took our 5 year old daughter for her birthday treat on New Year's Eve, and 2 year old son. I was prepared to be disappointed as it is rare that somewhere lives up to what is claimed on the website. However I can honestly say I was delighted and impressed by everything. The enchanted wood is outstanding - a wonderful mix of beautiful sculptures and lighting along with things for kids to press and play with. Both of our children were truly delighted all the way round, and it was great to stop for hot chocolate by the lake. We then moved on to the maze which was great fun, particularly for our 5 year old. Finally a quick stop for food in the cafe before heading home as a very happy family with 2 very tired but happy children! A great afternoon out for them, and we will definitely go back again next year.

Having visited last Christmas with our 4 year old and absolutely loved, it we have returned again this year, we were not disappointed! Was great to see new additions and attractions and again had another fantastic day. We will defiantly be coming back next year and will also be coming to the Halloween event..

This was our 3rd visit to the Christmas Adventure and it was the best yet. We loved the real ice rink-much better than the artificial one, it made us feel very wintery. The children loved the new attractions, the Big Wheel, Helter Skelter and the Mushrooms in the Enchanted Forest. We got there at 11,30 and didn't have to wait too long to see Santa-about 30 minutes(this was on the Tuesday before Christmas). Good food in the cafe and lovely hot chocolate watching the skaters. The shop is really well stocked. We love coming to The Christmas Adventure as it always gets us in the festive spirit. Thankyou to all the staff for a great day out and all the hard work you put in.

I really enjoyed this wonderful day out.The ice skating was really good but get there early as it gets very busy and the ice gets bumpy as they dont go over it.The enchanted forest was magical and a great experience. The big wheel and helter skelter were a lot of fun!The maze was good but make sure you follow the signes that you pass or you get lost!!!!! All in all a great and enjoyable experience! I Definately recomend it

We went for the first time on Sunday the 10th of Dec. We had A GREAT TIME. The staff were great, very helpful. The food was nice but a little pricey and presentation could be a bit better, but it was tasty!! There are a few areas for improvement such as the muddy car park (not good when you have a pram) A few dark spots in the forest path (my daughter fell and I almost followed her as we couldn't see where we were going at one point). A hot dog and candy floss van would have added to the atmosphere.........Overall we had a fantastic time and will go back again next year!! Just take welly boots with you:) P.S. Santa sold out just after 4:00pm, so go early we just made it.....Phew!

we queued for over one hour in the entrance queue and then were informed that santas grotto was closed due to demand. excuse me but this is supposed to be the christmas adventure and without santa is it?. you were singularly responsible for the dissapointment of many children. barry. STOCKELD PARK SAYS: WE ARE SO SORRY TO DISSAPOINT YOUR FAMILY. WE REALLY DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT. IT IS JUST THE SHEER PRESSURE OF NUMBERS AT BUSY WEEKENDS IN DECEMBER. IF YOU COME IN THE WEEK, THERE IS NEVER A PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH WE KNOW THAT CAN BE DIFFICULT. WE ARE SO SORRY.

I visited the park with my stepdaughters Marie and Lynsey and Alex my grandson on Saturday 10th December and we had a wonderful time. Alex was very excited about meeting Santa and I hope he gets the present he asked for no pressure Santa.

Visited on 10th December. I have read a lot of the reviews on here so I went with an open mind. It was quite busy but it was also the weekend so I suppose you expect it at this time of year. We are a family of two adults and two kids. We paid £65 admission for two activities each and for the two girls to see Santa. We did the maze and the woodland walk which were both excellent. The kids were fascinated. Santa was great as well and really engaged with the girls. Added to this, the gifts are good quality. It will however cost you £7.50 extra for 1 photo. Food is reviewed on here as been expensive but to be fair, I found it no more so than going into most decent cafes these days. A panini will set you back around £5, a hot drink around £2.
The only downside were the queues which were almost for everything. Plus if you are going to see Santa, go and book your place when you have paid at the main kiosk. We had around 2 1/2 hours between getting our number and getting to see him.
All in all a brilliant day in a wonderful setting and highly recommended.
