Yorkshire Business Awards Winner of Best Rural Initiative

The Christmas Adventure was the winner of the Best Rural Initiative Business Award category at the Ackrill Media Group Business Awards, a prestigious Yorkshire Business Award. Nearly 500 Yorkshire business people gathered at a glittering gala dinner at the Majestic Hotel for the prestigious Yorkshire Business awards ceremony. Peter and Susie Grant, the owners of Stockeld Park, were presented with the prestigious Yorkshire Business Award. The Christmas Adventure was also nominated for Best Tourist Award, but just missed out to the Harrogate International Centre.

YORKSHIRE BUSINESS AWARDS

• The Christmas Adventure at Stockeld Park won Best Rural Initiative Yorkshire business award


• Andrew Beadnall picked up the award for Yorkshire Business Personality of the Year and Paul Berwin was presented with the Mayor's Award.


• The Green Award, which featured for the first time this year, was won jointly by Harrogate Borough Council and Goosemoorganics.


• James Tapster, of the Pure Treatment Rooms, won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Best Company Website was awarded to Harrogate firm Magnolia Box Ltd.


• Northallerton-based It's Nut Free was named Best Small Company with Alexanders Motor Company named Best Medium Company and Harrogate company Vp plc awarded the title of Best Large Company.


• Eleanor Lutkin of Si Recruitment was named Employee of the Year and Harrogate accountancy firm DSC scooped the accolade of Employer of the Year


• Harrogate International Festival won the Tourism Award.
