The season kicks off on Friday 22 October and begins with a week of Half Term Activities and Halloween Fun!The Enchanted Forest and Nordic Ski Trail With its mythical creatures, well-loved characters, artistic sculptures and stunning tableaux, a stroll through the mile long trail is a bewitching experience for all ages. In the tree tops, look out for owls, while by the lake, angels hover, flamingo parade and deer drink. For the more active, there is also a cross-country ski trail through the woods. The Snowflake Maze Enter the stunning 'snowflake' maze made from over 2,500 yew trees and embark on over a mile of gently lit pathways. Skating Rink Glide across the eco-friendly rink beneath the stars. The artificial surface gives the same experience as ice, without the cold, damp and un-environmentally friendly downsides. Inspirational Shop Why not take a break from High Street crowds and enjoy a spot of Christmas shopping in the countryside this year? Woodland Cafe Why not take a drive to the Woodland Cafe at Stockeld Park, a 2000 acre estate situated between Wetherby and Harrogate on the A661. The cafe offers a full range of delicious foods from sandwiches and soups, to a tempting array of hot meals all cooked from fresh ingredients to order.
